Description
Château Pegau is owned by iconic winemaker, Laurence Féraud, and is an exceptional terroir situated less than 4 miles southeast of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Loaded with classic Côtes du Rhône fruit and spice, the wines retain the hallmark stamp and identity of Pegau. Cuvée Setier is named “setier” after an old fashioned measurement used for both grain and wine— here, “setier” references an ancient stone vessel that held 66 liters of wine.
Tasting Notes: Cuvée offering a concentrated nose of cassis, licorice, black cherry and tar, with ripe, well-structured tannins, intense fruit, and a long, lingering finish.
Serve With: A food-friendly wine that is especially good with bold, flavorful red meat preparations such as pepper-rubbed steak and lamb tagine.
