by his grand‐daughter Marie, the Jacqueson domaine is recognized among the very best in the Côte Chalonnaise.

Tasting Notes: An open and expansive wine with aromas of white peach, apricot, and ripe pear, with a strong underlying minerality. Elegant and well‐balanced on the palate, with intense fruit leading to a long, mineral finish.

32+ acres total; 27 in Rully, 3 in Mercurey and 2 in Bouzeron (breaks down to about 17 acres Chardonnay, 12 Pinot Noir, 3 Aligoté).

Composition

100% Chardonnay.

Viticulture

Sustainably‐grown. Sourced from the 2 acre “Grésigny” vineyard (planted in 1950). Soils on this rocky, east‐facing, hillside vineyard are dominated by brown, limestone soils. All vineyard work is undertaken manually/mechanically (no sprays for weeding).

Winemaking

Manual harvest. Grapes were gently pressed, and the juice was settled for 24 hours before being run directly into barrels for alcoholic fermentation. Matured 12 months in French Oak barrels (20‐25% new) with regular ouillage and batonnage. Lightly filtered prior to bottling.
